Here we are combining the 3D model with a recent point cloud of the same area of the plant. We have the point cloud sitting on top of the 3D model. We have made the 3D model near transparent. This means that we can compare and contrast for example between what is being constructed and the proposed design.
Having the model sit underneath the point cloud also allows us to click on any area of the point cloud to get some asset attribute information. If you come around the back we can see where the model is coming into the point cloud.
We can change the model underneath—so at the moment we have this semi-transparent 3D model sitting underneath the point cloud and we can swap that for a 100 percent model.
